CANDLE CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Candles are sensitive to temperature and light. Avoid candles from fading, cracking and melting by storing your candles in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, dust and fluorescent light. Store your candles in an upright position and don’t leave your candles in your car on a warm day.
Before lighting always trim the wick to 5mm and remove any wick debris for an even burn. To provide the cleanest burn possible and help prevent ‘mushrooming’, regularly trim the wicks and do not burn any candle for longer than the maximum recommended burn time. Always keep the wax free from debris and dust.
To get the maximum burn time from your candles, you need to set the candle memory by allowing the candle to burn until the pool of wax extends to the outside rim of the glass during each use.
Never burn a candle for longer than 3-4 hours at a time. Extinguish, allow it to cool and then relight. Never burn your candle to the end of the jar. Always leave approx 2cm of wax in your candle, which you can scoop out and place in a melt burner. Place your candle on a stable, level and heat resistant surface (your lid may be able to act as a buffer) and handle with care as container and wax may become hot.
Use a candle snuffer or dipper to prevent wicks from drifting off centre and to help maximise the candle’s burn time.
